The annual Joint Wash-WRM-Energy Multi stakeholders Forum kicked off

July 11th 2024 (MoWE),The annual Joint Wash-WRM-Energy Multi stakeholders Forum organized by Ministry of Water and Energy in collaboration with Development Partners in the water and energy sector is underway in Addis at Hilton Hotel.

Opening the grand event, H.E. Dr. Ing. Habtamu Itefa underscored that in order to achieve in the Water and Energy Sector special emphasis needs to be given for synergy, community and technology that can pay the pivotal role in addressing issues in the area of Water and Energy sector.

Explaining the points, His Excellency said that synergy among actors in the sector to ensure effective resource utilization and avoiding duplication of efforts is mandatory.

He also stated the need to engage actively and thoroughly the community in any development intervention so as to create sense of ownership.

Employing appropriate technology in the water and energy sector development interventions is one of the points His Excellency underlined.

The event in which all actors in the water and energy sector are taking part will last for two days.

parallel sessions on Water Resource Development, Water Supply and sanitation and energy development will begin in the afternoon.
